'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League return

Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his desire in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to discuss a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is currently two years through the four-year contract he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.

The veteran forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the initial major honor of his distinguished career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as enthusiastic about returning home as he previously was, and would seriously think about extending his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had eluded him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Looking Ahead

  • Ongoing success with Bayern Munich is Kane's main focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has significantly decreased
